A 67-year-old bicyclist was killed in a collision with a work truck in Rumson on Thursday, authorities said.

Rumson police responded at about 12:37 p.m. to the intersection of Ridge Road (Hartshorne Lane) and Navesink Avenue for a reported crash involving a vehicle and a bicycle. A preliminary investigation found that a 2024 Isuzu work truck traveling east on Hartshorne Lane collided with a man riding a Giant bicycle.

The cyclist was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:27 p.m., according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office. The driver remained at the scene.

No charges or summonses have been issued.
