Residents in Keyport are looking for answers as officials continue investigating reports of a possible cancer cluster in the borough.

Concerns grew after residents raised questions about whether environmental factors could be connected to cancer cases in the community.

Now, multiple agencies are taking a closer look. Congressman Frank Pallone is calling on the EPA to conduct additional testing in residential areas, while the borough and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection are also conducting their own soil and water testing.

Officials say the testing is aimed at gathering more information and determining whether any environmental contaminants are present.

For many residents, the goal is simple: getting clear answers.

The results of those tests will help determine what steps, if any, need to be taken next.
