Three people are recovering in the hospital after a docked boat burst into flames Saturday afternoon in City Island, the FDNY says.

Fire crews responded to 691 Bridge St. just before 1:45 p.m.

Video provided by Mike Becker and Stu Becker shows flames shooting from the 30 foot boat as thick black smoke billows into the surrounding area. Two people are seen standing on the dock, hugging, as they watch the scene unfold.

Fire officials say crews got the blaze under control in just under an hour.

Paramedics took the three victims to nearby hospitals. According to the FDNY, they all suffered minor injuries.

The cause of the blaze was not immediately known as of Saturday evening.
