Two teaching assistants accused of physical abuse at a Hackensack day care were arrested and charged with child endangerment on Wednesday.

The Division of Child Protection & Permanency says they contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit about the allegations on Sept. 11.

The subsequent investigation determined that Deily Perez and Chillyann Spencer victimized two children on Sept. 9, according to authorities.

Officials have yet to reveal details about the incident or the name of the day care.

Both women were remanded to jail and had their first court appearances before being released on Friday, pending further court action.
