An Access-A-Ride bus slammed into a building's scaffolding in Crotona Park, injuring one person, according to the NYPD.
It happened just after 1 p.m. on Thursday in front of 1420 Minford Place.
News 12 cameras captured the aftermath of the crash, where the mangled bus sat wedged beneath the partially collapsed scaffolding.
Police say the driver of the bus appeared to have lost control of the bus prior to the crash.
The person behind the wheel of the bus was pulled out of the bus and taken to the hospital with minor injuries, according to the NYPD.
A spokesperson for the Department of Buildings says around 60 feet of the sidewalk shed was damaged in the crash. They say the building itself was not impacted.
The DOB says the bus was removed from underneath the scaffolding and the sidewalk shed company is making repairs.
