A lawsuit filed against the New Rochelle lawyer at the center of the
coronavirus outbreak has been dropped.
Last July, Lawrence Garbuz, New York’s
first known COVID-19 case - also known as “Patient Zero,”
was accused of
stealing nearly $2 million from an estate in which he was a co-trustee.
The
lawsuit also named his wife, a law partner of their firm.
Now, court records show the lawsuit has
been discontinued.
An attorney for Garbuz confirmed that information, but
had no other comment.
