An investigation from the Special Narcotics Prosecutor's Office has led to the arrest of three men and the seizure of around 360 pounds of cocaine in the Bronx.
The prosecutor's office released photos showing the 163 kilogram-sized packages of the drug that were found in the flatbed of a tractor trailer by members of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration on Aug. 8. The illegal narcotics are believed to have a street value of around $4.5 million.
Jeffrey Alcantara, 30, allegedly met the truck in a separate car and was preparing to tow the trailer and the two drivers of the trailer, Karimzhan Ragibov, 28, and Rayimzhon Binaliyev, 37.
