A 40-year-old man was gunned down outside a bodega in Westchester Square early Wednesday, police say.
It happened around 2 a.m. in front of Gelbe Avenue and Glover Street. 
Police say they found a 40-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his left shoulder. 
He was transported to Jacobi Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. 
Police say a grocery bag was recovered near the victim's body and believe he had just left a nearby bodega. 
The man's identity has not been released.
