The 46th Precinct held a back-to-school festival at Bronx Community College Saturday, where children could get free supplies while learning important lessons about school.
In addition to the gifts of free pencils, notebooks and food, children at the event got to jump on a bouncy castle.
There were also several educational facets to the event, including anti-bullying lessons, women's self-defense lessons and basketball clinics.
Organizers say they hope similar events will become more popular in the coming years.
