A 5-year-old Bronx boy who went missing on his way home from school was found safe Friday.
Shamar Adams went missing around 2:30 p.m. while walking home from school with his 13-year-old sister, Ginell.
Ginell says she noticed her brother was missing after she crossed the street at Boston Road and Dyer Avenue to catch the bus.
The 52nd Precinct searched for more than two hours, using surveillance video to uncover that a BX-30 bus made a stop at the same corner Shamar disappeared.
At 4:45 p.m., an MTA truck alerted the family that Shamar was found on a bus at the 26th Street and Bainbridge Avenue stop.
Shamar's mother, Tricia Adams, says her son was able to answer questions from an MTA employee who noticed him alone on the bus.
"To the parents out there, make sure they know their phone numbers and addresses and the area location near your home," Adams says.
