A 58-year-old woman was sent to the hospital after being shot through the front door of an apartment building on the Grand Concourse.
The victim was apparently standing behind the front door of Rockwood Hall when a bullet went through it, striking her leg.
The woman was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital for treatment. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Witnesses say there was a group of men hanging out outside of the building when the shots were fired.
The incident marks the second shooting in the area this week in which the victims appeared to be innocent bystanders.
