3h agoSenior citizens across the city are getting ready for the fifth annual Senior Games.
The torch was lit at Herbert Von King Park to start the 10-day long event. It kicked off with a torch run from Barclays Center, where the torch bearer from Brooklyn passed the torch to the next bearer from the Bronx at Grand Army Plaza.
The seniors will compete in sports like basketball, swimming and even pickleball.
Each competition will be held at different locations across the five boroughs.
