Six individuals are recuperating after an apartment building caught fire on Saturday night. The FDNY reported the blaze erupting around 8:30 p.m. on Elder Avenue, situated between East 172nd Street and Westchester Avenue. According to News 12 reports, one person was transported to the hospital in critical condition, while five others were treated for minor injuries.

Presently, fire marshals are continuing their investigation into the cause of the fires.
