Police say several people were injured in a multivehicle crash on the New England Thruway early Sunday morning.
They say a van carrying five people collided with a box truck at around 12:30 a.m. as it tried to exit I-95 at Conner Street.
The box truck then struck another car with two people inside.
Police say the driver of the box truck, 63-year-old Carlos Perez, of Houston, Texas, is now facing charges.
They say Perez had a suspended license, and was driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle. He has been charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle.
Officials say the seven people who were injured are all in stable condition.
