A woman was found dead in a parking lot at John F. Kennedy International Airport on Thursday.

Police say an 83-year-old woman was found dead inside a car in a long-term parking lot.

Officers got the call around 2 p.m. after someone noticed she hadn’t moved for hours.

EMS broke the car window and confirmed she had passed away.

Investigators say the car was last seen running on Tuesday.

Part of the lot remains closed, but airport operations were not affected.

The medical examiner will determine the cause of her death.
