Enrollment for the new municipal identification card has been so popular that the city has had to expand its sites to meet the high demand of those still looking to get a card.
New enrollment centers have launched at Lincoln Hospital and other areas around the city.
The card is available for free to all New York City residents, regardless of immigration status. In the last three months, city officials say that more than 100,000 New Yorkers have signed up for the card.
By the end of the month, the program plans to launch a second round of pop-up enrollment centers.
City officials say the new expansion will help the IDNYC program be able to enroll 1 million New Yorkers this year.
