A new affordable housing residence building will soon be open in the Bronx.
The El Rio residence, located on East 179th Street, is scheduled to open next month. The building will have housing units that will cost $715 each month.
The apartment complex has 26 units set aside for low-income adults, and 39 units for residents with special needs.
To apply to live in the building, residents must meet the annual income requirement of about $24,000 to $36,000 a year.
Currently, there are about 30 units available.
