The lottery is open for the Compass III residences, two affordable housing buildings in West Farms that are almost ready for new tenants.
Monadnock Development and Signature Urban Properties has been building an affordable housing community on Boone Avenue and in Crotona Park East since 2012. Each unit has wood floors, stainless steel appliances, great views and the complexes have courtyards, a playground and a gym.
Compass III on 1560 Boone Ave. is scheduled to open at the end of the year. The two buildings will have about 350 affordable units.
A new 450-seat elementary school will also be part of the new buildings.
Studio apartments in Compass III range from $331 to $1,091, depending on annual household income. Applications must be in by Sept. 10 on the Housing Connect website.
