An early morning fire ripped through three homes in Throgs Neck Monday.
The massive flames took over three homes on Harding Avenue around 1:30 a.m.
Firefighters were able to get the three-alarm fire under control around 3 a.m.
A woman who has lived in one of the homes with her husband for the last 20 years tells News 12 they heard a pop and the next thing they knew the flames were everywhere. She says her husband ran out of the house to alert everyone, and she says he’s the reason they’re still alive.
Officials are looking into what caused the fire.
