A police shooting that ended with the death of a man in the Bronx is now under investigation by the New York Attorney General's Office.
Police say plainclothed detectives were investigating a separate incident on Seneca Avenue Friday when they heard an argument taking place. Police report they heard a man say he was going to get a gun and the suspect went to his car and returned with a gun.
The suspect ignored the officers' warnings to put down the weapon and instead he allegedly opened fire and nearly shot an officer in the head. Officers say they fired back and shot the suspect five times.
The suspect was pronounced dead at Lincoln Hospital.
