Angela Pollina admits to deleting surveillance video from day of Thomas Valva's death

Angela Pollina was cross-examined by the prosecution Wednesday after taking the stand the previous day and saying she was "evil."
Pollina's trial continued for the 2020 Center Moriches death of Thomas Valva, her then-fiance's son, who prosecutors say was forced to sleep in a freezing garage for months.
She said Thomas Valva and his brother Anthony would also eat meals and do their homework on the cement floor in the garage.
Pollina said that she told the boys' father, Michael Valva, that he was making the garage too comfortable for the brothers. Items like books would then be taken out of the garage.
She also admitted to deleting the majority of the surveillance video from Jan. 17, 2020, the day that Thomas Valva died. She testified that when she deleted the footage, it dawned on her how horrible it was for the children to be living in the garage.
Pollina is accused of second-degree murder in the death of Thomas Valva, to which she has pleaded not guilty. Her attorney continues to say that the boy died because of his father's actions.
Michael Valva is currently serving 25 years to life after being convicted of murder in the case.
Closing arguments in the trial are expected to take place this week.
