Radio personality Angie Martinez talked with News 12 about the upcoming Tidal X: Brooklyn benefit concert at the Barclays Center.
She called it an honor to co-host an event that features huge names like Lil Wayne and Ms. Lauryn Hill.
It's organized by the music-streaming service Tidal, co-owned by rapper and entrepreneur Jay-Z.
This is the fourth year of the show, whose previous themes have included social justice and disaster relief. Martinez says this year's theme is more relevant than ever: criminal justice reform.
The concert begins at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23. Proceeds from the night will go toward nonprofits that fight to achieve a more fair justice system.
