A 15-year-old boy is in custody after allegedly firing a gun at police in the West Bronx. 
According to investigators, an anti-crime unit was conducting a search inside 595 East 170th St. at around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday when a female tipped them off to the armed teenager. 
They say the teen fired the weapon at officers as he tried to flee the scene. Authorities chased him to St. Paul's Place and Crotona Parkway where he was arrested, but no charges have been filed at this time. 
No injuries were reported.
