A street in the Bronx known for serving what many say is the best Italian food in the city will be recognized as one of America's "greatest streets."
Arthur Avenue will be added to the American Planning Association's annual list.
Officials say it's because the street combines its rich Italian heritage with plenty of restaurants and shops in a compact area. They say it's also well-known for its Ferragosto Festival.
"This recognition, it reaffirms to the rest of the nation that there's renaissance and that great things are happening in the Bronx, that we're full of character and culture," says Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. "That Arthur Avenue is more than a place you come and eat."
