Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson stopped by the News 12 studios Monday after her primary victory for her second term. Looking ahead into 2026, Gibson said one of her goals is to look into economic development, explaining that it's correlated to job growth, affordable housing and helping the middle class. Gibson also discussed the investigation into the death of 2-year-old Montrell Williams and how it shed light on potential inequities and inconsistencies when looking for missing persons. Gibson also discussed calls to change the "Raise the Age" law in the aftermath of violent incidents involving kids. Gibson addressed the resources and services that the city is offering for families and kids this summer.
