Professional athletes came out Sunday to teach young kids skills that were applicable both on and off the field.
The athletes taught kids about soccer while spreading awareness about cancer.
"We're trying to use soccer as an engagement tool to teach youth life and job skills," says Lawrence Cann, of Street Soccer USA.
Coji Jones, from Jones LA Galaxy 4, agrees and says soccer is also about learning about being a good teammate, a leader and learning how to take instruction. Jones say those skills are important things the kids will take in life and can use in any type of future career.
