Officers say a man was killed in a collision Sunday afternoon between a car and a scooter in Bed-Stuy.

A 21-year-old was driving a 2020 Infiniti when he hit the side of a motorized scooter on Marcus Garvey Boulevard and Decatur Street, police say.

The scooter then slammed into another car and the scooter driver was ejected, then propelled onto the street. Police say he suffered severe trauma to the body and head. He was taken to a hospital where he died.

The 21-year-old driver remained on scene and was not injured.
