Baked in the Bronx: Krispy Kreme signs lease for Castle Hill bakery

New Yorkers were enthusiastic last week when it was announced that Krispy Kreme Doughnuts were opening a location in Times Square. Today, it was announced that their doughnuts will be baked in the Bronx.
Simone Development Companies confirms that Krispy Kreme Doughnuts recently signed a lease for over 26,000-square-feet of warehouse space at 525 Zerega Ave. to host a regional bakery and distribution center.
The president of Simone Metro Properties told News 12 in a statement: "We are very excited about Krispy Kreme coming to the Bronx. It's great for New York, everybody loves Krispy Kreme."
