Well, let's get a check of your local weather with Storm March team. Meteorologist Hilda Estevez. Hilda. Yes. Sah. So we are talking, you know, significant a warmth, especially for today. They're quite big of a departure for December 2nd, you know, approximately 10 to 15 degrees above where we should be for this time. Also, we're expecting a soggy Sunday on and off rain showers and they're exiting sooner than anticipated. And that is a good thing because that means that we have a drier at evening and heading into dinner time as well. Seasonal return on Wednesday, Thursday and notice our rain chances pretty consistent and very well up there, close to 100% well into the morning and even beyond lunchtime. So it's rounds of rain. So we could expect to see this continuing and lingering into five o'clock. Now, when it's all said and done, approximately seven o'clock, I think is for sure the exit time for all this rainy weather and we're expecting close to an inch of rainfall when it's all said and done. Now, we are expecting to see some more showers possibly forming for Wednesday and some snow flakes and that potential comes also with a cooler temperature. So today, enjoy this amazing warming trend. Close to 60 degrees 730 brings those clouds thickening and building. Of course, once again in those showers, arriving into the overnight, a little bit later on the onset of them. And then of course, they are a bit more widespread right around seven o'clock tomorrow, heavier in points. South Newark also getting there by nine, we notice that it's a bit more progressive and intensity all throughout the state. And by 12 o'clock, we notice things lightening up for central and northern New Jersey staying pretty consistent and a bit more bulked in that portion of the state. Now that exits right around four and five o'clock and we're left with some clouds gradually clearing out, heading into the evening and overnight time frame. Now Monday looks better and a bit cooler with the forties. Here's a look at our exclusive 10 day forecast.

Take it, you know, today, I'm calling it for a good ish day now because you're not going to be seeing the wet weather and notice our silver lining here, 60 degrees. That's nice and very warm, big departure for December 2nd. And uh we are noticing the trend also heading into the pre dawn hours into tomorrow. Now by tomorrow afternoon, you'll definitely need those umbrellas, a lighter jacket alert for sure. Today, what to wear looks like that um, umbrella for tomorrow's soggy on and off showers all day and heading into dinner time. That's when things really start to improve. But a seasonal return once again, specifically Wednesday into Thursday, as we walk you through our future cast, the clouds are here and they will continue to stay with us thickening and also gradually building to more shower activity heading into overnight at first light, but then we have these rounds of rain. So, you know, not everyone gets to see them and experience them all at once, but their heavier pockets also embedded as early as eight and seven o'clock in the morning. You'll notice Brooklyn, you kinda see that, especially when we're talking about heading towards the afternoon time frame. So after 12 o'clock, that's when we can start to notice a bit more of those moderate heavier pockets, the contours of the deeper um, greens, as well as oranges and yellows. We're gonna need those umbrellas handy all day tomorrow. So be mindful of that accessory by four o'clock, things really lighten up and the showers seem like they kind of exit. But, you know, we are left with the clouds still at bay. So it's kind of a bit more of a damp start heading into Monday. Nice, beautiful clearing and the sunshine is back into play as we start off the next week. Now, as far as rain total, it looks like this. So three quarters of an inch close to an inch for some spots, very localized. I'm not very concerned about localized flooding. Uh but because it seems to be such kind of like nuisance rain, it's just gonna be a rainy day and that's something to just be mindful about. By Tuesday, Wednesday, we get back into the forties and as we start off Hanukkah on Thursday, we are expecting drier conditions and high temperatures into the forties. Much more like December.

Looking day out there. But it's definitely better today than it is tomorrow and we even have a few peaks of sun. Possible. We are kind of wedged in between two air masses. We have a really humid setup in between, but there is a little bit of dry air higher up in the atmosphere that could bring some breaks in the clouds. I think that the model guidance is kind of overdo the sunshine, but I wanted to show you his bigger picture view because you can now see that next storm system coming our direction. So probably seeing more clouds and fog by about 1011 o'clock tonight, the latest and then by Sunday morning, even if you're an early riser, you're waking up to light rain and persistent rain and it's just going to continue all morning on Sunday, all afternoon. It's a gross feel. Now, the good news is most of this rain is light so that kind of limits the severe aspect to it. But you know, these roads could be a little bit slick because of just the amount of rain, just the duration of it just really lasting all day. There are improvements for Monday morning, we're seeing peaks of sunshine early in the day, but then things cloud over Monday afternoon, we have a northwest wind that's gonna come in and cool us down. So here are your temperatures this afternoon? We're in the mid ff as we close off the evening. How about near 50 again? It's gonna feel a little chillier because we start to introduce rain into the forecast. You're low tonight in Kingston is 40 it's 47 in Yonkers, so not a huge spread and we don't warm up much on Sunday. You're only 45 in Kingston now, that's pretty close to average, but you factor in the rain and it feels so much chillier. Westchester County, maybe parts of Rock County, you could hit 50 tomorrow. But again, this is coming with a guarantee that it is gonna rain. Now, there could be a few dry breaks, but most of the day is gonna be wet and then for the work week, we dry out. So, you know, good timing. If you have plans for the work week, 50 on Monday might be a little optimistic because we do vet northwest breeze in the afternoon. I am expecting a majority of the day to be in the forties and then we are stuck in the low forties for Wednesday for Thursday. The first night of Hanukkah looks very cold and so does Wednesday night at 26. That's gonna be pretty chilly next weekend we rebound, close to average, but we're tracking a chance for some precipitation. So we'll keep an eye on it for you. You're watching News? 12.

It's gonna cool down again in the 10 day. Let's talk about the bigger issue, which is going to be the rain tomorrow. So we do have cloudy skies all weekend, obviously a fog out there this morning too. So that's creating some visibility issues. But on Sunday, it is a steady rain for a good chunk of the day. So today is the pick out of the weekend. There'll be some peaks of sunshine this afternoon around lunch, but not much of it. Temperatures are in the mid ff maybe even upper fifties if we get enough sunshine, but I would not count on the sun. It's gonna be a possibility that we, you got a few breaks in the clouds, but most of the day is pretty cloudy. This is 5 p.m. the sun is already set and temperatures are still in the fifties. So you don't need the heavy winter jacket. Just a light jacket. Today will do dinner time is mainly dry, but after 89 o'clock, there could be some spritzes and stray showers. It's a all day full LG wash out on Sunday, light rain in the morning, check this out. Temperatures are in the fifties in the morning, that's above average for the afternoon at this point in the year. But we don't warm up on Sunday. It's gonna stay 50 all day with this very persistent, very steady and very damp rain that just sticks around until I'd say about six o'clock or so. So, if you have any brunch lunch, early dinner plans Sunday, I just don't see a lot of opportunity for dry time for you here. So we're gonna keep that in mind. Temperatures are not bad all the way through Monday. We're hanging out in the fifties. Today's high of 56 is the warmest that we've actually seen since mid November morning. Lows are in the forties, so no worries about frost. No worries about cold when you're stepping out the door. Tuesday morning, we're back down to 36. So that's kind of setting the stage for a cooler upcoming work week, 46 there, 43 on Wednesday and 42 on Thursday. It's not the coldest set we've seen, but it is definitely pretty chilly for that first night of Hanukkah. Expected to definitely feel like it is December, but we rebound a little bit next weekend with another chance for some rain. Just a little heads up on that. But the work week does look dry. Not that we want to talk about the work week on a Saturday, but that's how it's shaping up

And gray. But we could potentially be seeing a little bit of the sunshine shining on across Western Connecticut later this afternoon. Notice the winds nice and calm, but that's also gonna be a recipe for some overnight fog forming and notice how different our temperatures look for tomorrow. Big changes here. So yeah, we do start off mild and we noticed a little movement when it comes to those temperatures just staying stuck right around the forties. But notice also that I changing the winds will become a bit more active and yes, we could expect several rounds of rain, no major big accumulations, but it's going to be a little bit of that nuisance rain with some heavier pockets. So if you're traveling along interstate 95 regardless of its north or south, you could encounter some pockets of showers for tomorrow and things definitely are going to start to settle back down with some better clearing for your Monday as far as rain forecast and what we could expect in the coming days. Well, after tomorrow showers are looking and trending a bit more dry, but we are watching here in the weather center, the potential for some showers and a little bit of that wintry mix coming back into play on Wednesday. So that's really the day that we're also going to continue to focus on in the coming days as we fine tune the temperatures as well as the precipitation trends. Heading into December 12th. Well, you've probably already checked off the laptop and the tablet. Now you have to make sure that you have the right accessories to get you back to school with the perfect tech consumer reporter, Janice Lieberman shows us the must have gadgets that will help you all year long. Hey, Shannon and Elizabeth, it's time to pack your kid up for college, but you don't know what you're missing until you figure it all out. And for help with that, we have seen that Bridget Carey Bridget you get in a bind. You don't even know why you're in that bind, right? Oh, there's so many things you don't think about until you get there. Uh And there's a lot of access you need for your tech, not just the laptop on the back pack, you need a lot of little things too. What do you got? Ok. So these are some accessories made by a company called Nomad. But what I like about them is that they can help you stay sane by keeping your devices charged. One thing parents don't really think about and students too is that you're going to need a really long charging cord the dorm. Yes, for the dorm because you don't know where the outlet is and what if you're on the high bunk. So, get something that's extra long and get something that's woven. Uh, you have, you're gonna have a more tough cord. Uh, so it doesn't really fray and someone yanks it or trips on it. So you always want to have something really tough and really long very, and you have to have extra chargers around because your roommate will steal it. Absolutely. Always pack extra chargers. You're gonna need some of these wall outlet ones. And I like being extra safe. You don't know where you're going to be when you need to transfer something off your phone or your computer. They now have key chains that are just really easy to like if you're in a jam plug in your phone, plug in your computer, you know, keep yourself charged or these universal charging ends because sometimes you have different devices that have different needs. If it's an iphone, it needs a lightning, but maybe it's your friend's phone that needs a micro USB or USBC. And just for about 25 you can get something like this that takes care of everybody, throw it in your bag and you're good to go and speaking of throwing your bag, you're gonna want to get something like an air tag. If you're an Apple user, something that can help track your bag, track your stuff and they even have holders so you could use a key chain or you can buy something like this card holder, you pop it in and it can go in your wallet in your bag. You're going home to see mom. Maybe you want to put it in your suitcase. So you could do a lot of, yeah, because you can leave your backpack somewhere on the campus and forget about it. Not know it is. And that'll get you help. Yeah. And then another problem that sometimes you come across is that you need a port that maybe your computer doesn't have, sometimes these really thin computers now only have certain different connectors. But if you get something like this, you can get nine different ports in one for $40. This is from a company called basis and sometimes you might need an Ethernet connection if you're at the library, maybe your dorm room has something. So it's something that will save you. If you have to have a different kind of USB port. They got everything here, even memory cards. Everybody needs headphones, especially when it gets noisy in the dorm. You need to concentrate and your roommate's noisy. A lot of people look to noise, canceling headphones, but they can get pretty expensive. You don't have to spend top of the line to get a good noise canceling experience. We have a great review on these Sony headphones. They are lighter but they are only $130 and they are great for noise canceling. If you really need to block things out, if you want to spend less, you don't need noise canceling Sony once again has something that we see go down to $40. Sometimes these are called on ear. You got to know the difference in what kind of headphone you want. Sometimes noise canceling cups, the entire ear and on ear just sits nicely, but you don't have to spend on top name brands. I think Sony has a lot of good reviews right now and they will save you some cash and you want to decorate your dorm, but you don't have a lot of room. So this is a lava lamp kind of lamps are back. This is a sparkle one and people think, oh, how am I gonna decorate my dorm room? You don't want to go high tech? The wifi is a little strange when you have to share it. Uh So I'm seeing lava lamps back just for fun. Like $25 is where they start at. Uh But it's just a little way to add some ambiance. Keep it simple. But college life can be very stressful. So, what are these guys? Ok. You got to think about your desk and sort of stress from all these classes online need. It's just one example of new stress relief balls. We're seeing little things to fidget with at your desk. Five bucks. They're just fun. And colorful.
