Bed-Stay native and non-profit executive Dianne Morales is running for New York City mayor. 
Morales is a former public school teacher and has most recently served as executive director and CEO of Phipps Neighborhood. 
Morales says she is running to build a new New York City and give everyone opportunities. 
“The pandemic has both laid bare inequities and injustices that existed long before COVID-19, but it’s also exacerbated those injustices, I don't want to go back, I've said I refuse to go back,” Morales said.
The last day to register to vote in person or have your mail-in application postmarked is May 28. Change in address information needed to be handed in by June 2. 
Primary Election Day is June 22.
