Benjamin Beach and Bayport Beach remain closed due to bacteria

If you're planning on heading to the beach today, News 12 has some closures to tell you about.
Benjamin Beach in Bay Shore is now off limits to swimming after high bacteria levels were found in the water.
Bayport Beach in Bayport also remains closed to swimmers.
Suffolk County health officials say bathing in bacteria-contaminated water can result in gastrointestinal illness, as well as infections of the eyes, ears, nose, and throat.
They say the beaches will reopen when the water is safe.
