Bicyclist fatally struck in hit-and-run finally identified

The bicyclist who was killed in a hit-and-run in Hunt's Point has been identified.

Police say 31-year-old Dilmania Lopez de Rodriguez was riding her bicycle after midnight and attempting to cross Bruckner Boulevard. She was struck by a car making a right turn from Leggett Avenue. EMS transported her to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln and pronounced deceased.

Meanwhile, the car that struck her did not remain on scene.

The investigation is ongoing by the NYPD Highway District's Collision Investigation Squad.
