Billy Joel will postpone his tour by four months due to a medical condition, according to a statement posted on his website and social media.

The statement says the time will allow Joel to "recover from recent surgery and to undergo physical therapy." He is expected to make a full recovery, the statement says.

“While I regret postponing any shows, my health must come first," he said in the statement. "I look forward to getting back on stage and sharing the joy of live music with our amazing fans. Thank you for your understanding.”
