HEADLINES:
A mainly dry weekend ahead with the next rain chance coming late Sunday night into early Monday morning.
There will be rain chances throughout Monday and Tuesday. Mostly looks to be rounds of showers and light to moderate rain at this time. Later in the week, there's the opportunity for more precipitation, potentially Thursday and Friday.
We have about eight days left of astronomical fall and then we will see the beginning of astronomical winter. Dec. 21 is the shortest daylight amount of the year, but sunsets begin getting later starting Saturday. However, sunrises are still getting later so days (daylight hours) continue to shorten until the Dec. 21.
There is a full moon on Sunday. This is the cold moon. However, the light of the almost full moon will likely impede our ability to see the Geminid meteor shower tonight. We have clear viewing conditions, but it will be very cold. Make sure you are bundled if you are trying to catch a glimpse.
It will be feeling like winter as we head into the weekend. Temperatures stay in the 30s for Saturday but feel more like the teens and 20s at times. High temps creep up to the low-40s for Sunday, and we move into the 50s for the majority of next week. Tuesday looks to be the warmest day as it approaches 60 degrees.
FORECAST:
TONIGHT: Mostly clear, low of 20 degrees. Feeling much colder, more like the teens.
SATURDAY: High of 35 degrees, low of 21 degrees. Sunny, but feeling very cold.
SUNDAY: High of 41 degrees, low of 37 degrees. Clouds and sun. Late overnight rain.
MONDAY: High of 52 degrees, low of 42 degrees. Rain moves in early and lingers throughout the day. Multiple rounds of showers.
