Chance for a few showers overnight.
After some morning fog, Friday becomes partly sunny, with a wide range of temperatures. Western Long Island will have highs near 80 degrees, with the East End stuck in the 50s and 60s.
Our weather turns unsettled into the weekend, with the chance for a few showers, but most of the rain will stay west of Long Island. We could see some showers or an isolated thunderstorm late Saturday, with a few showers early Sunday.

FORECAST:
OVERNIGHT: Mostly cloudy, with the chance for a few showers overnight. Patchy fog by morning. Lows near 53 degrees, with a southeast wind 5 to 15 mph. Sunrise: 5:49 a.m.
FRIDAY: Patchy fog then partly sunny and warmer, with highs near 72 degrees. Chance for scattered showers late in the day. Southerly wind 10 to 15 mph. Mostly cloudy, with patchy fog at night. Lows near 57 degrees.
SATURDAY: Mostly cloudy, with the chance for an isolated shower in the morning then again late in the day. Chance for thunderstorms in the evening. Much of Saturday will be dry. Highs near 71 degrees. Lows near 57 degrees.
SUNDAY: Mostly cloudy to cloudy, with the slight chance for showers. Most of the day will be dry. Highs near 67 degrees. Lows near 56 degrees.
MONDAY: Cloudy, with a good chance for showers. Cooler and breezy at times. Highs near 64 degrees. Lows near 54 degrees.
