Black-owned businesses in Brooklyn arranged for private screenings of the new “The Little Mermaid” movie.

Shanisha's Changing Lives, Dexte and Denim LLC and EMG Prints organized a screening at the Linden Boulevard Multiplex Cinemas in Brooklyn.

Organizers say they announced the screening on Facebook and all the tickets were obtained within minutes.

A total of 100 tickets were sold and many children arrived at the theater wearing Ariel attire.

Families also had the opportunity to take photos in front of a large Little Mermaid display.

The organizers say they are grateful for the opportunity to help families get together and enjoy the hit film.
