Bushwick Grind, a café owned by a husband-and-wife team has been in the neighborhood for six years and has a loyal customer base.
Its business motto is to serve up healthy, affordable foods while trying to stay as local as possible.
With help from "Together We Thrive," a nonprofit aimed at helping fund Black-owned businesses, the couple is now planning to reach beyond their community by opening an urban farm.
"Together We Thrive" says it's helped around 200 local Black owned businesses since the onset of the pandemic.
