Black Lives Matter Greater New York held a protest outside Yankee Stadium on Wednesday and is calling for the firing of Yankees player Josh Donaldson.
Donaldson was fined and suspended for one game for referencing Jackie Robinson during a verbal exchange with Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson Saturday.
The group and advocates are calling on community members to get involved, and say that they plan to throw other rallies in order to raise awareness and get Donaldson fired.
