The Bronx Zoo celebrated wildlife and diverse culture Saturday.

Artists and performers from the Bronx were on hand at the zoo to kick off "Boogie Down at the Bronx Zoo."         

The event featured appearances from hip-hop legend Grandmaster Caz and Melly Mel and street artists such as Tats Cru.

After Saturday, Boogie Down at the Bronx Zoo will run on Saturdays and Sundays from May 5 to June 3, including Memorial Day.
