A longtime Riverdale hangout, which once served as a bar, has lived up to its reputation as a restaurant.

Blackstone Bar and Grill opened five years ago, but was a bar for about four decades.

The new owner says he knew he wanted the restaurant to stay true to its roots as a pub, but he added his own twist by keeping it upscale.

Blackstone features 12 craft beers on tap served with classic bar food prepared in house from scratch.

Some dishes include duck confit tacos, a vegetarian style Portabella mushroom cheesesteak, and a stuffed cheeseburger.
