PM, checking back in now with storm watch teams, hoo SECA Hope cold. Today, we saw some snowflakes and now you're telling me wet weather is coming this weekend, I'm a little worried. No snow. I'm less worried. Well, it's still going to be an impactful system and something that we need to really prepare ourselves for over the next couple of days. So we saw the cold. Today, saw a few of those festive flakes, a nice couple of days ahead and this is what you can expect for Sunday evening into Monday, windswept rain. So the wind will be an issue and the rain starting Sunday evening and even lasting into Monday morning, a line of gusty thunderstorms that could start pushing through as early as 10:11 p.m. on Sunday. So we're still fine tuning the storm as we get through the next couple of days. We'll let you know what, what we can expect. Excuse me. So the gusts 40 to 50 MPH that can knock down tree land, tree branches even cause a concern for some scattered power outages and localized flash flooding, especially for the most flood prone air. So let's get into the future cast this evening will remain quiet. The clouds are with us. It will be clear tomorrow morning but still cold temperatures in the mid thirties, but not as cold as it's been over. The last couple of days. Tomorrow's highs will be in the mid to upper forties. So that season will feel we're seeing the sunshine again. Haven't seen that for the last couple of days. So it will be something that we can enjoy and guess what the sun does take us into our Saturday. A blend of sunny clouds with highs in the low to mid f Saturday. The pick of the week go outside and the conditions or just prepare for what's coming our way on Sunday because it is going to be nasty out there with the widespread rain and gusty winds moving into our area. So here's the timeline of the storm. The showers could be here as early as Sunday afternoon around 12:01 p.m. But the brunt of the system will start moving into our area closer to midnight and we're talking about heavy rain and gusty winds behind the front lies a cold blast. So winds will start picking up 40 to 50 MPH. And then that cold.

There waiting outside the restaurant. It's going to be a cold morning tomorrow, but then things quickly turn around. Now by Sunday, we're going to be watching for rain and it's going to be a lot of rain, maybe 2 to 3 inches of rain here in western Connecticut, gusty winds 25 to 35 miles an hour sustained, but it's the winds of the wind gusts rather that could reach up to 50 miles an hour closer to the coast. That's going to be just a small window of opportunity. Sunday night into early Monday morning, that's enough to cause some damage and some of the coastal flooding and street flooding could also cause damage as well. So Sunday, not a good day to go out. If you are going out tonight tomorrow morning, make sure you bundle up and layer up. It's still cold. But then we're in the forties for tomorrow. Temperatures not as cold tomorrow night, partly cloudy sky. So at the bus stop, make sure you're nice and warm the afternoon though. Not that bad. And you know what, I think 45 is going to feel incredible. Here's the forecast in Norwalk, temperatures returning to the forties, Saturday, we have F Sunday. Well, we're looking at some wet weather on the way, Addison as we get our plans ready for the weekend, what are we looking at as we want to pay attention to the skies? Well, Nikita, speaking of that tree right there over there in Woodstock, those holiday lights wrapped around those trees and those displays. Well, they may be impacted by some gusty winds coming on. And thankfully though, you have several days to prepare for this system as it's not coming towards our vicinity until Sunday afternoon and lastly overnight in towards the first half of Monday. Hence, you see those rain changes standing tall amongst the rest of the several days to come right here in the Hudson Valley area. So let's dive in towards that forecast detail. We'll have partly the most cloudy skies Sunday morning, around seven o'clock, we'll have a southerly breeze, pushing more warmth and more moisture up this way. As you go forward towards lunchtime, the rain is just on our doorstep with heavy rain to be found towards the west. So if you're traveling for the upcoming weekend ahead, you're going westbound, the system will hit you earlier rather than later now getting up in towards the evening hours, we'll continue to light to moderate to eventually heavy rain move on and just aren't enough batches of the heavy rain coming through, but persistent winds coming through that will slowly start to increase and their strength as well as the coverage across the area. Hence, those holiday lights and trees outside may be impacted now up towards the overnight hours. That's where the heaviest of this system's impact could be felt across the region. Possibly some mo to heavy rains coming on down, widespread as well as gusts over 40 MPH. A cold front will be sliding through the region. So right by kind of, it's colder air, they'll be moving on in past Sunday night into Monday morning. Here we are eight o'clock in the morning right there. Maybe some areas to the North and West Sullivan County County may see a brief change over, but we'll definitely notice the change in the temperatures as colder air will come rushing on down at a brisk pace through the day on Monday. So we'll go from a high of about 60 degrees on Sunday to maybe about 45 or so on Monday. Now, every day on Saturday, it's the pick of the week, 54 degrees. Looking great. Definitely a great day to get out and about perhaps strap down some of those holiday decorations for the time being. We have a quar north westerly flow still coming on down where a few flurries can be found possible to the north if you're going out and about for any Hanukkah activities. Tonight, overnight temperatures dipped down towards the mid to upper twenties towards the low thirties of a light breeze coming on in. Overall, though a very quiet night coming our way tonight, tomorrow should be just fine and makes the sun and clouds high of 46 patch where we should be this time of the year, temperatures moving on up over the weekend and then dropping on down as we go past Sunday into Monday.

We've got some ugly stuff knocking on the door. Absolutely. So we've been dealing with the cold for the last couple of days, Joe and now we're looking to warm a little bit, but with that warmth, it comes some stormy conditions. Unfortunately, folks, so getting straight into what we are gonna be expecting, we are in storm watch because you know what we need to know is that Sunday is gonna be pretty nasty for us, Friday though. Not bad. It's gonna be warmer temperatures in the upper forties, Saturday still dry and then we're back to the fifties Sunday. However, it's gonna be near 60 degrees and we're looking for that storm system to move in and it's gonna be impacting our Monday morning as well. We'll get to those details in a few moments, but Hanukkah begins tonight this evening for us and we're looking at temperatures to be in the middle to lower thirties and overnight to around 30 degrees is where we are expecting our low to be as we roll into the overnight hours. So, otherwise, hopefully you have a happy Hanukkah, but we are looking for things to stay dry for us. A couple of flurries over towards the east end, but nevertheless, not looking for much issues as we get into the rest of our Thursday night, take a look at the next 12 hours in itself. Again, staying clear for the most part in our skies, temperatures will start off on our Friday morning into the middle thirties. So you're definitely gonna need that coat and just wanna bundle up. So it's gonna feel cold once we start, but it will improve as we get into our Friday afternoon, upper forties, as I mentioned, Saturday is gonna be pretty mild as well. Middle fifties around this time of year. We're into the middle forties, what our typical seasonal temperatures are so Saturday and Sunday in itself, it's going to be really nice for us in terms of surface temperatures, but then we're looking forward to stormy conditions heading into our Sunday. Otherwise, again, it's going to be rather quiet, but we are gonna be monitoring the storm system rolling in for a Sunday evening around dinner time. That's gonna carry into our Monday morning, which is why we have our storm watch for Sunday night into our Monday morning. And then the following week back to the seasonal temperatures.

Well, I do declare get that weak stuff out of here. Wait, is that legal? Can you take your shoe off and block a shot apparently in this game? Yes, it is. Who's gonna argue with him? He's holding a shoe. Let's walk over the weather and see where this forecast is headed. We are looking at mainly cloudy skies. Temperatures are going to be in the upper thirties. We will see the clouds thin and we'll look for the temperatures to cool off. Now. It's not going to be uh, like what we've been dealing with where morning lows have been in the twenties, but we are looking for that seasonable chill to take you into the overnight as we were just talking about it is the first night of Hanukkah. Temperatures are going to be in and around the low to middle thirties under a mainly clear sky overnight. Lows up towards Sussex is about 26. Trenton's coming in at around 28 you can go over towards Irvington. You'll see an overnight low right around 32 and then heading down towards Stafford Township. Also looking at around 32 degrees, our skies are clear and our temperatures are going to be seasonably chilly. There's no big storms on the board until the end of the weekend. And I do want to time out Sunday's forecast because it's important. It's not going to be a total washout. Saturday afternoon. We, well, Sunday, Saturday morning, we start off with some clouds and the clouds will continue to thicken temperatures warm up on that south westerly wind to the low and middle fifties, which is above average for this time of year on Sunday. That's when we're going to start to see the rain move in and the worst of the rain is after dinner time, the showers could start as early as let's say, two or three o'clock, but they're widely scattered kind of all over the place. It's really not until Sunday, late at night, going in a very early Monday morning that the weather really starts to go downhill.
