A large hole can be seen in the window of a Borough Park synagogue, and police are investigating the vandalism incident that was caught on camera as a hate crime.
Two young boys were spotted on camera running down the block and hurling two rocks toward the window of the synagogue. Local Shmira officers are working with the NYPD Hate Crimes Unit to find the people behind this.
Shmira officers say this isn’t the first incident of its kind to happen in the neighborhood, and that they have been receiving calls about similar situations.
Officers say they received a tip that the two boys in the video may live in the neighborhood.
