Police say a bouncer was shot outside a Bronx nightclub on Bruckner Boulevard early Saturday morning.
They say a 37-year-old bouncer at Club Miami in Mott Haven was shot in the arm and the hip around 2 a.m.
Police say the shooting happened when the bouncer tried to search three men, and they refused. One of the men allegedly pulled out a gun and shot the bouncer twice.
The bouncer was rushed to Lincoln Hospital, where he's in stable condition.
Police say the suspect along with the two other men fled in a red Porsche.
The NYPD reports that felony assaults in the neighborhood are on the rise. Its report shows 94 cases in the area since the start of the new year, compared to 61 cases in all of 2015.
