BP Adams gives out masks in Brooklyn, calls on city to make sure all New Yorkers have masks

All New Yorkers are now required to wear face masks per Gov. Andrew Cuomo's executive order.
Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams called for a solution to make sure all New Yorkers have access to face masks.
The borough president called on the city Monday to give out free masks. He says it’s something that's already being done in Stamford, Connecticut and Newark, New Jersey.
Adams was outside the Borough Hall subway station handing out masks wrapped in an informational pamphlet. He says they're trying to not only provide masks to those who might not otherwise have one, but also to share information about the virus. He says providing free masks will help ease some of the burdens so many New Yorkers are facing right now.
Adams says they'll be out giving masks to commuters and at NYCHA complexes for at least the rest of the week.
