Sunny and cooler conditions for Brooklyn; tracking chances of rain for the weekend

It's mostly sunny, chilly and gusty this morning with wake-up temperatures in the upper-40s.
Today will be much cooler with lots of sunshine and breezy conditions. Winds won't be as harsh as last night, but gusts can reach up to 35 mph this afternoon.
It stays dry and cool through Friday. A quick moving cold front will move into the city Friday night into early Saturday morning. The timing is after 11 p.m. through 7 a.m. Steady showers and breezy conditions are expected. Saturday will be the drier half of the weekend with more sunshine and milder temperatures.
Another storm system brings some showers Sunday afternoon through the evening. The exact timing is still uncertain. Stay tuned for updates.
The latest drought monitor comes out today. We'll likely see some improvements to drought conditions thanks to last week's soaker.
Winter makes an early arrival early next week as a polar airmass sinks into the city. High temperatures will be in the 40s with overnight lows in the 30s! It stays dry with a few flakes and snow showers staying well off to the North and West.
