Grab the big coat because below average temperatures are returning.
The clouds are sticking around like the neighbor that doesn't want to take a hint to go home tonight. However, no rain is expected for the next several days.
What may be a shock to the system though is the bone chilling temperatures that are coming.
By Thursday, a sweater won't be enough. Some of us could be waking up to temperatures in the 40s.
In the interim, Wednesday will feature the return of the sunshine by the afternoon. We should bounce back into the 40s.
Then, winter decides to give us a preview of what's to come. Some of us will be waking up to temperatures reminiscent of late November or December. Layer up as the kids head to school and you head to work. Temperatures will struggle just to get to the upper 50s, thanks largely to the clear skies and a northernly breeze. Wind picks back up for Thursday, with gusts between 20-30 mph, but it will remain dry and sunny.
By Friday, fall reclaims its place as temperatures bounce back into the 60s.
WEDNESDAY: Highs in the mid-60s. Lows in the mid-40s. Clouds and sun.
THURSDAY: Highs in the higher 50s, lows in the lower 40s. Sunshine.
FRIDAY: Highs in the low 60s, lows in the higher 40s. Mostly sunny.
THE WEEKEND: Nice start, potentially soggy finish. Rain chances return Sunday. Temperatures will be in the higher 60s and lower 70s.
