Gala Foods in Bridgeport is hosting a fundraiser, led by owner Alex Pena and attorney Mark Bradley, to aid Venezuelan earthquake survivors.

Gala worker Maria Guerrero, who's from Venezuela, says she hasn't been able to reach her family since the deadly earthquakes struck on Wednesday.

Donations are being accepted at any of the grocery chain's stores from Florida to Massachusetts, with 100% of proceeds supporting the humanitarian effort.
