The owners and operators of all 41 Broadway theaters announced Wednesday that they plan to enforce the city's vaccine mandate for younger children starting next week.
Children over 12 years old need to be fully vaccinated, and kids 5-11 will need proof of at least one vaccine dose. Children younger than 5 years old will need proof of a negative COVID-19 test.
The new rules come as part of the city's newest vaccine mandate, which also includes a requirement for anyone working in the city's private sector to get the shot by Dec. 27. A class-action lawsuit on behalf of those workers is set to be filed against city in response to that.
