A broken elevator at a Bridgeport apartment complex has prompted seniors and disabled residents to demand action.

Dozens of residents at 45 Wheeler Ave. say their lives have been turned upside down since the building's only elevator broke down six months ago.

Resident Ruel Foster says it's not fair to the people who live there — including seniors and people with disabilities — that the elevator has gone unrepaired for such a long period of time.

A spokesman for the building told News 12 that parts have been delayed due to the pandemic but are doing everything they can to get the elevator fixed.
