A Bronx nonprofit group opened up the world of endurance sports to kids in the borough.
Tri-Latino helped students from from the Bronx Academy of Letters prepare and compete in a triathlon.
The event, which was held Sunday, featured a 500-meter swim, 12-mile bike race and three-mile run.
Tri-Latino was was started as a non-profit for adults to get fit, but since they had so much success with students at the Bronx Academy of Letters, they say they are hoping to expand to other schools.
