Choosing where your child goes to high school can feel almost as important as picking a college. That's why Bronx Alliance Middle School wants to make the process a little less stressful.
Whether extracurricular activities or teacher-student ratios, there's a lot to consider when it comes to picking a high school.
Bronx middle schoolers got to meet face to face with the people who might one day be their principal or teacher at the second annual Bronx Alliance Middle School fair.
Students got to speak to 40 high schools across the city at the John Philip Sousa Educational Campus. The campus is home to multiple middle schools and all students were invited to attend the fair.
Public and private schools were there, as were performing arts and health science schools.
Bronx Alliance Middle School lead coordinator Jarrett Parker says he started the fair last school year when he noticed students needed more support in the selection process.
Last year's fair had 21 schools attend, and this year nearly doubled that number.
They plan to keep the tradition going with even more next year.
